Alyster Dark's Lost Corner

~ A Lost Boys Fan Site ~

The following is a "fanfiction-style" text. You are going to meet Marko. If you are not interested in reading the little scene I wrote, you can just read the white lines and you will learn about the synopsis. This is up to you. ;-)

The Novel

Marko's back from the boardwalk, he holds something in his hand, some kind of a book.

"Reading time, come and get it boys," he calls out.

"They rock, they roll, they're after your soul... they're vampires ."

Marko tosses you the book as he jumps down the rocky stairs to the entrance of the cave. He calmly waits for you to open it, biting his thumb nail nervously. A smile suddenly graces his lips. He knows you will like it.

With quiet, soft steps, he walks towards you and takes a seat beside you.

“Do you want me to tell the story?” He asks, pointing a finger towards the book in your hands.

You nod in agreement and smile back at him. This boy inspires your confidence, and he really doesn't look dangerous. You certainly won't get another chance to have the story told by one of the Lost Boys himself. The nearness of the most mysterious vampire of the band gives you shivers, and you find that you like that sensation. You like the way he dresses, you like the way he moves, and you like his hair and bright eyes.

Marko smiles again, tenderly, and begins to tell the story:

“By day, Santa Carla was a sunny beach community. By night, it was the domain of evil. And, we, the Lost Boys ruled...

We were the coolest biker gang on the boardwalk. We slept all day, partied all night. And Michael Emerson, the new boy in town, was eager to join up. That's when things started getting weird - and Michael's little brother Sam, a comic book junkie, learned the horrifying truth about the us: we were evil incarnate, we thirsted for blood and Michael was about to be initiated...”

“I know what you’re thinking right now,” Marko says.

“Really?” you reply.

“What I told you is close to the movie - but that’s the story, and I can't change it!”

“So what happened here, Marko?” David suddenly asks, his voice echoing in the cave. He’s talking to someone else about the film and Marko has been requested to give him the bottle.

Marko stands up and feels sorry he has to leave. “I have to go. See ya later, maybe,” he says before rejoining his leader.

You would be tempted to stay a little more and even listen to David's story...after all, you know what happened. And you wonder how he feels recounting those fateful events! But you must journey on. There's much more to see here!

Based on a screenplay by Janice Fischer, James Jemerias and Jeffrey Boam
Story by Janice Fischer and James Jeremias

Unfortunately, the book is now out of print - I just had the luck that someone found it for me on internet (thank you so much "Pauline in Nottingham") - if you're lucky enough, you may have the chance to find it on sites like amazon.com or ebay (for example).
