Forgotten Feelings

Author's note:

This was a requested fanfiction I wrote two years ago (2006). Due to some events I decide to rewrite it. I like it better that way. Paul being the third in line right behind David and Dwayne on my Lost Boys top list (sorry Marko - lol), why couldn't he have his chance too?

Disclaimer:

All publicly recognisable characters, settings, etc... are the property of their respective owners. The boys do not belong to me, unfortunately. The original characters, the song "Forgotten Feelings", the band named 'Stars' and plot are pure creation of my crazy mind. I'm in no way associated with the owners, creators, or producers of any media franchise. No copyright infringement is intended.

Warnings:

This story is rated NC-17 and contains explicit sex scenes, blood play, character's death and violence.

Chapter 1

The moon enlightened another nightfall on Santa Carla, capital murder of the world. The amusement park opened its doors and let the crowd assault the place. In the darkness of the night, four wild vampires were flying over the ocean, enjoying the intense sensation of power and freedom. They were young and they would never grow old. They would never die. They floated in the air over that dark blue sea, shouting like overgrown children.

As they passed over the beach, Paul spotted a dark shape lying on the sand.

“Look at this,” he said, inviting the boys to follow him.

David did not make any comment and followed his companion down the beach. It was worth a look, after all. The boys landed softly, without a noise. It was a body lying on the sand, inanimate. Paul came closer, followed by the others. It was a young woman. She was unconscious and bloody. Somebody probably attacked her. Her shirt and her jeans were intact. It was not a rape, it was something else.

“Is she alive?” asked David.

“Dunno, she looks dead,” answered Paul.

He came to the body and knelt down next to her. He passed his hand on her face, brushing her curly blond hair back with his fingers and smiled at her beauty.

“She breathes,” he stated after a while.

“Great,” added Marko with a mocking tone, rolling his eyes to the sky. Why did it matter, after all?

“Come on boys, help me to carry her in the cave, she needs some cares. We can’t leave her here,” Paul said.

“Let her die,” David ordered. “We don’t need another Star in there.”

“Why?” asked Paul. “You have your girl David, why can’t I have mine? I want to save her!”

David’s glance was enough to make him shut up but Paul’s look at David meant more than a thousand of words. A second girl in the pack wasn’t going to improve the situation. What if Marko and Dwayne also requested their own too?

“Ok, man,” David finally agreed. “She is under your responsibility. If she misbehaves, you will have to answer me!”

Marko helped Paul to lift the blond girl in his arms and her head rolled down on Paul’s chest. He enjoyed the sweet smell of her hairs. It reminded him some good moments he had in his short “human” existence before becoming a creature of the night. He hasn’t held a woman in his arms for a so long time and he realised that desire was a part of his life. Even if he was a vampire, he still was a man. Thanks to the new abilities of his senses, his emotions and his needs were more intense. He took one more look at her and smiled, tightening his grip on her body.

He carried her cautiously to the cave.

They entered the place and Paul slowly laid the girl down on Star’s bed.

“Who’s that girl?” Star questioned moving close to David.

Laddie jumped next to Dwayne and gave the girl and anxious glance. A new soon-to-be pack member was frightening the little kid.

“Just a chick Paul wants to help.” David answered.

Dwayne lightened some more candles and Paul inspected her body to find the possible wounds. She did not have many lesions. Only her right arm and her head were hit but it did not look really serious. Anyway, she was still unconscious. He cleaned her injuries with soft linen and covered her with the sheet. Irresistibly attracted by her, he leaned in a little as to kiss her but stopped his move halfway. Dwayne’s voice violently broke the silence and Paul suddenly realised what he was about to do.

“What are we gonna do now?” asked Dwayne.

“Just wait till she wakes up,” David replied. Paul nodded.

The girl was attractive and beautiful and Paul wanted to know her a little more. That was the reason why he brought here in the cave. No other humans ever came to this place. This mysterious girl was the first.

She woke up a few minutes later as Paul sat on the bed next to her. She took a look around her than stared back at Paul. She looked really scared but said nothing.

“Don’t be afraid, we won’t hurt you. Stay calm,” Paul reassured her.

“Who are you? Where am I? What…” she started, moving away from him.

“Shhhhhttt,” he said, raising his hand towards her face. She moved back a little more and hit the top of the bed. She jumped out of the bed and stepped away from the boys.

“She’s awake,” said Dwayne mockingly, as if it was a miracle.

The girl set her blue eyes on them and saw Marko bit the nail of his thumb. Paul stood up and slid closer to the rest of the pack.

“Well, the ‘shy’ guy is Marko,” said Paul pointing the young curly blonde haired man.

“And there are Dwayne and David,” he continued. “The girl over there is Star, she’ David’s, and the kid is Laddie.”

She stared at Paul questioningly, she was afraid to be alone in an unknown place with four young men but she was too scared to move. She stayed there, her back against the wall as Paul walked to her.

“I’m Paul.” He smiled but she stayed away from him.

“Marko, water!” David ordered.

Immediately Marko went out of the cave and came back a moment later with a bottle of fresh water.

“Here’s for you.” David offered the bottle. “Make yourself at home.”

She grabbed the bottle from his gloved hand and she took a long drink from it.

“What’s your name?” Paul asked.

“Satya,” she replied after a while weeping her lips with the back of her hand.

“Welcome here Satya! Feel free to be at home. You are our guest.” Marko told her with a smile.

Paul looked askance at Marko, fearing this vampire would be attracted to the girl.

“Where am I?” She asked.

David walked along the cave. Her green eyes followed him.

“This was the hottest resorts of Santa Carla …” David started but Paul’s and Dwayne’s stare reduced him to silence. It was like they had said “please, not again, we’ve heard this a thousand of times.”

David came back next to Satya and she held her breath for a moment.

“What happened to you, girl?” he asked.

She passed a hand in her curly blond hair and had a grin of pain.

“I don’t remember,” she replied shyly. David was impressive and cold. She liked Paul better.

She closed her eyes and tried to find out what she was doing this evening when, suddenly, she remembered one word : ‘music’.

“Music,” she said victoriously.

“What?” asked Dwayne.

“It’s the first thought I have: ‘Music’ but I can’t remember what does that mean.” She sighed.

“Maybe we could help you if you just tell us a little more about yourself.” Marko proposed.

“Well, my name’s Satya, I’m 23 and I…” She stopped for a while and the continued with an anxious tone: “I don’t remember anything else. I can’t remember where I live, where I come from, what I was doing before my accident…” she started to cry silently.

“An accident, you mentioned an accident… that’s a start. Maybe you should get some more rest. Don’t be afraid, you are safe here. Take all the time you need.” Paul said with hope in the voice.

He raised a hand towards her and she blushed a little under his caress. She took his hand in hers and let him guide her back to the bed. She slowly laid down on it, covered herself with the sheet and closed her eyes.

“I’ll take care of you, I promise,” Paul reassured her as she fell asleep.

Paul stood up and went to David, wrapping a hand on his shoulder. He whispered in David’s ear and they both went out the cave to talk. They left Satya alone with the two others. Marko and Dwayne were talking about food. From time to time, Dwayne glanced at Satya with envy.

“I’m so hungry,” he said.

“Let’s go out to feed,” Marko proposed.

“Why should we go out? We’ve got food at home!”

Marko immediately understood. He knew Dwayne’s evil intentions.

“No, man, you’d better stay quiet.”

“The girl over there, we could drink from her. Nobody would care for her. She’s probably had a violent argument with her boyfriend and left him.” Dwayne insisted.

“Don’t do it…” advised Marko.

As they continued talking, Satya moved in the bed. She was dreaming of monsters attacking her and she moaned in her sleep, attracting Dwayne’s hungry attention. Before Marko knew it, Dwayne suddenly jumped on Satya with his demon face. She woke up screaming, she was so scared, her nightmare was becoming real. A vampire was on the top of her and he was trying to bite her. He put a hand on her mouth violently as she caught his necklace. She struggled hardly. She tried to turn her face and to push him away but he was too strong. Vampires were stronger than anyone else, she knew that. She had learned so much about them when she moved to Santa Carla. She was so interested in supernatural things and in vampires that her instinct unconsciously brought her here. But now, she regretted it. She didn’t want to face that. She stroke to his chest with her fists but he did not mind. He held her shoulder with his free hand and leaned in to bite her neck. A tear rolled down her cheek. He was going to feast on her and there was nothing she could do to stop him. She was about to die.

Suddenly David roared from the dark corner of the cave.

“DWAYNE!!!”

Dwayne turned his face to David, fanged out.

“STOP IT!” David ordered angrily coming closer with Paul.

Dwayne glanced at his leader, at Paul, then back at the scared girl and released her. She jumped out of the bed, ran to Paul and hid behind his back. She was almost sure that Paul and the other two were vampires too, but she felt safe by his side. She did not know why but she knew he wouldn’t touch her.

“Satya is our guest and you’d better be nice with her.”

Satya was crying and Paul turned an understanding face to her. He took her head in his hands and talked to her softly.

“It’s over now. Nobody is going to touch you again, I promise.”

She wrapped her arms around him and put her head on his chest. He passed his hand in her hair in a tender caress. He was taller than her but she wasn’t scared of him. She knew she could trust him now. He protected her.

“Are you ok?” Paul finally asked.

“I’m fine,” she confirmed in a sob, leaning back from him.

“Good,” he said, staring at Dwayne angrily.

“You are… vampires?” she dared. She wasn’t sure she wanted to know.

“Yep, but you don’t have any reason to fear me, I won’t hurt you,” he smiled.

“How…?”

“It’s a long story. Maybe one day I’ll tell you.” He took her hand in his.

“So maybe we should get out and try to find what happened to you tonight.”

“Do you really live here?” She asked surprised.

“Yeah, that’s a nice place,” Paul said.

“And now it’s ours,” David added under Dwayne’s disapprobative stare.

“Do you think you will be able to walk?” Paul asked her.

“Yes, sure,” Satya answered looking for her shoes.
