Drabble 1
# 58 House
Sitting on the porch where his grandpa played dead earlier today, Sam tries to remember why they had to leave their house in Phoenix.
The new start his mom promised him began by living with an old hermit whose passion is taxidermy and who doesn’t even have a TV, what fun!
Sam doesn’t really care about the reason why his parents got divorced. But he’s now angered and feels mad at his father because it was his fault if they were now living in the murder capital of the world.
Sam would find a way; he’d go back home soon.

# 88 Sunglasses
It was not his luckiest night, but it was a good night, anyway. David smiled viciously, satisfied.
Not far on the beach, Paul shouted something that sounded like: “look at me, baby.”
“Take them off, dude!” Dwayne said.
“What?”
“The sunglasses, take them off.”
“I won them fairly.” Paul insisted.
“You look like that dumbass of Shane!” Marko commented.
“But David said I could keep them if….”
What Paul said next faded in the wind.
David smiled again, looking at the dead bodies on the sand. Tonight, he and his gang have caught The Tribe and turned them into tripe.

# 53 Eddie Munster
“No, no, no,” Star said, shaking her finger like a teacher, and scolding the Frogs brothers. “Laddie is not like Eddie Munster! That kid was a werewolf!”
“In some episodes, he showed signs of being part vampire, just like…” Edgar proclaimed, pointing a finger towards Laddie in a disgusted move.
“Yeah, and he slept in a coffin,” Alan confirmed.
“Grrr,” roared Laddie in an attempt to catch the Frogs.
They jumped backward all at once.
“You guys watched television too much. Can you honestly say that he’s a monster?” Star tried.
“All he wants is to have a snack on you!”

# 81 Author’s choice: commemoration
Today is July 25th, 2009. And as Aly is writing those lines, she has a thought for The Lost Boys Day.
The commemoration took place two years ago, exactly. “The Lost Boys”, the film, was 20 years old. And Aly has been sad she couldn’t afford a flight to California. She wanted to be there and see the outdoors screening of the film; and maybe meet the actors. Was it a silly dream?
One day, she will go to California.
Later tonight, Aly will raise her glass of red wine and she will drink for her dream to come true.

# 17 Vigilante
David wandered along the boardwalk when his attention got caught by a loud scream.
In a dark spot, a girl was cornered by two guys. What they wanted was so obvious!
David usually never stepped in other’s business but tonight was different. He knew that girl and he appreciated her.
Without thinking twice about it, he ran to the guys and caught them by the collar of their vest.
“Aly, get back home,” he told the girl.
“Wait, we haven’t even touched her!” One of the guys said.
“It doesn’t matter, I’ll eat you both!”
This was David’s vigilante justice.

# 43 Feeling
Love was unknown to David; a feeling that meant nothing. Until he met Aly!
Aly had pierced his defences and wormed her way to the vampire’s heart. David himself had never thought this could be possible. But it was! He was in love, should he want it or not.
His stomach squeezed each time he saw her and his heart fastened. He surprised himself being looking for her in the crowd; expecting her presence. Those were THE signs.
Anyway, he would never tell about it and he would certainly never talk to his boys because they’d make fun on him.

# 25 Bat
“There’s one thing about the film I never could explain,” Aly told her friend.
Waiting for her reaction that never came, Aly continued: “Neither the boys or Max ever turned into a bat! Why do you think vampires are always associated to that animal?”
“I don’t know” the friend replied.
“Let me tell you why.” Aly, excited by her recent discovery, did not notice that people around her were looking at her as if she was a fool. She continued, undisturbed: “Because they both, the animal and the vampire sleep upside down!”
“Name me another animal that sleep that way.”

# 20 Garlic
Usually, Marko was in charge of the food. Not that vampires could taste it, but sometimes they had guests. Tonight, for some unknown reason, David sent Paul.
When he brought it back to the cave, David welcomed him with: “Italian, good choice!”
David was predictable; he always said the same thing as he always told the story of the old lobby. Anyway, what Paul did not predict tonight is that David got angered.
“No garlic, asshole!”
Paul should have known it. But the girl behind the counter was so sweet and beautiful that he forgot about the vampires’ special diet.

# 86 Party
“Hell no!” David protested.
“Why not?” Marko questioned.
“Because it could endanger our lives!”
“Come on, it could be fun,” Dwayne insisted.
Paul jumped down the chandelier. “I want it!”
“I said no!” David crossed his arms on his chest. His decisions were never questionable but Paul wanted it so much; and Marko and Dwayne seemed to want it too.
“I want my birthday party and I will get it. I will bring girls, cakes and music!” Paul said.
“What if we promise to feed on them and get rid of their bodies?” Marko tried again.
“Okay,” David said, sighting.

# 47 Bottle
Something was floating in the water and the waves were bringing it to him. Away from his mother’s supervision, Terry grabbed the precious object and hid it in his pants.
He then changed his mind about it. His mother would certainly notice it. It was too big to hide. It was better to burry it in the sand, somewhere in a deserted place so he could come back later and play with it.
Its brightening stones were so beautiful, so sad it was empty. What had it contained?
Not far from there, David growled: “Where the hell is my bottle?”
